An hearing was held
by Dy.CLC(C) on 22-05-2017 and subsequently on 2-6-17 regarding the petition
filed by the National Federation of Telecom Labours against the management of
BSNL,Tamilnadu Circle. In this regard the federation has bitterly complained
about the BSNL,Tamilnadu Circle Management for not following the instructions
issued by Dy.CLC(C) dated 25-10-2016. In
this regard Dy.CLC(C) has instructed BSNL to come with the details by identifying
the works and grouping the contract labourers strictly in accordance with the
works being carried out by them.
Since each SSA is following
different yard sticks/methods for categorization, it is creating huge confusion
and we are not in a position to give a suitable reply to Dy.CLC(C). Hence, you
are requested to identify all the jobs that are being performed by contract
labourers in your SSA, group them and furnish the report in the following
format on or before 20-06-17 so as to comply with the requirement of Dy.CLC(C)
and to submit a report on next hearing which has been fixed on 29-06-2017. In this regard, letter received from the
Ministry of Labour and Employment dated 24-05-2017, which is enclosed may also
be followed while grouping. This should
be given priority and the time schedule given may be strictly adhered to.
